The final Sookie ended the way I expected. It felt anti-climactic. I'm looking forward to the first disc of True Blood Season 5 coming from Netflix today (hopefully). I'm about half way through the first Anita Blake. I think Laurell Hamilton is a pseudonym for a male ghost writer.
I started the new Sookie, and I can see how if you've been watching True Blood, you might come in confused. Don't bother re-reading. It is the rare occasion where the TV series is much better written than the book. Harris created great characters, but is such a hack writer, half the books are just filler, waiting for something to happen. The Cluvial Dor (sp?) was made for Sookie's grandmother by her fairy lover. Arlene was in jail because she helped her Temple of the Sun boyfriends try to catch and murder Sookie. I read all of the books recently, so if you need me to fill you in, I can. I'm waiting for disc 1 of season 5 to come on Netflix. I wish there was a way to watch season 6 without having to sign up for everything else on HBO. I'm not much of a tv fan, in general. I usually prefer to read.
Hi Buff, I went to the library today and the Laurell Hamilton had come in, and they finally got the final Sookie. Guess I'll start with that. What's funny is that I broke down this morning and read a spoiler, so I now know how Sookie ends. It is exactly what I was expecting, but not what I was hoping for.
