December 2005 - I will never look like this again
I haven't been active on Spark People for quite a while, but I am still here and making some great progress with Weight Watchers. We did a lot of traveling over the holidays and I gained some back, but not enough to worry about. Life is good!
A wise wonderful Native American, Chief Wabasha, said, "When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light. Give thanks for your life and strength. Give thanks for your food and give thanks for the joy of living. And if perchance you see no reason for giving thanks, rest assured the fault is yourself."
My main goal now is to be healthy. I know I will never have the body I did when I was younger, but I can still look good and be in good health. My goals are to get some form of exercise in every day and to maintain my healthy eating habits for life.
Now that I am seeing results and the end is in sight, I have set some long term goals.
1. I will NEVER be fat again.
2. I will be at my goal weight by the time I leave for France, March 24, 2010.
I keep my calories between 1200-1400 a day. I don't count fat gram or carbs, but I do try to limit my carbs to no more than 80-100 daily. I am also increasing my veggies and fruits in my diet and I do my best to eliminate the white stuff.
I live in Ohio, am happily married with four children, 4 cats, and a dog. I'm a nurse in a NICU/Intermediate Care Nursery.
My hobbies are golf, scrapbooking, biking, and counted cross stitch. I also love to travel. A lot of my time is spent volunteering with my daughter's band and golf team. I'm also an avid sports fan and I still love the Bengals and the Reds, no matter how bad they are. I LOVE the Cincinnati Bearcats who are the 2009 Big East champions!!
