(1/5/09) I'm 51, finishing up my last of 3 daughters in homeschooling. A new grandma as of 3.6.9, little Laurel is beautiful (I've posted photos). I have arthritus and sleep aepena. Losing weight should help improve both of these plus make my future years better.

(4/24/09) After nearly 4 month with SP I'm down 25 pounds which is about a 10% loss of my original weight and nearing 25% of my goal. My energy level is up and I don't yawn all day.

(6/6/09) It's been about 5 full months with SP. I'm down 35 lbs about 1/3 of my goal. I have been encouraged by the friends I have met here as well as those I know personally who have joined me on this journey. Thanks all.

(9/1/09) Wow, almost 8 months and I'm nearing the half way mark, should be there by Thanksgiving. I have found a lot of small goal in weight lost has been the key for me. It's nice to post a date by each goal as I achieve. My life is busier than it was when I started. I'm glad I started when I did, for God has given me much to do and I don't know if I would have been able to be up to the task if I had not improve my health and weight when I did. I'm anxious to see what else lays ahead in the months to come.

11/16/09 One year since my last physical where and when I realized that I had to loss some weight. Weigh In was down 53 lbs. from 258-205.

1/5/10 One year with SP. I've put a few pounds back on in the past 6 weeks. I've been off course, but got back on yesterday. Plan to hit this lifestyle change thing hard again and see how much more can lose and healthier I can be by next year.

2/25/10 Adoption final for our fourth daughter and former niece, Mysti who is 6.

11/08/10 I've been off SP since late spring, when I was ill, and packed back on 30 of those 53 lbs. My sleep apnea has returned mildly and energy level is down. It's time to take control again.

6/25/12 Another granddaughter, as of 2.10.12 . Still not working hard on my weight. 40 pounds back on. Health issues earlier this year are cleared up. Stress...when one area clears up another gets stirred up. Each seems like a worse situation than the previous.

3/20/14 Back yet again.

Brought to you by CML team
These lyrics sung by Crossway have ministered to me time and time again. I hope you can draw strength and inspiration from them also :

When I Hear the Thunder

Sometimes at night I cry myself to sleep
After everybody else has gone to bed
Knowing once again I've gotten in too deep
And the waters will soon be above my head
And I beg of you to change the world around me
So tomorrow won't be looking quite so dim
And I awake to the waters deep enough to drown me
But through it all you taught me how to swim
Chorus:
And when I hear the thunder and I think I'm going under
I remember you're the lifter of my head
You've had a thousand chances to change my circumstances
But thank you, Lord, for changing me instead.

There are times I can't help feeling lost
Like a ship drifting on the open sea
And the wind and waves leave me pitched and tossed
And a storm begins to build inside of me
And I beg of you to change the world around me
As fear and faith are fighting for control
Amid the raging waters swirling all around me
You've become the anchor for my soul
Chorus:
And when I hear the thunder and I think I'm going under
I remember you're the lifter of my head
You've had a thousand chances to change my circumstances
But thank you, Lord, for changing me instead.
