    It was nice to open up my emails this morning to find your message.
    I'm amazed you have time for exercise with 3 kids to run around after so hats off to you for doing it. It's so important to keep fit isn't it. Everyday movement, like carrying heavy shopping, is so much easier and anyway I class exercising as "Me time" lol.
    It's a beautiful Autumn morning here in London, bright but crisp. It's got me raring to go.
    You asked what I do for cardio and toning.
    Rosemary Conley is a well respected fitness and health guru over here in England who regularly puts out exercise DVDs that do individual cardio and toning workouts and combinations. I have quite a few and do those at least 3 times a week for about 45- 60 minutes
    I've also got an exercise bike that has a resistance lever on it. The higher the resistance number ( from 1 to 5) the steeper the hill you're climbing. I do 45 minutes on 3 (or 25 on 3 and 20 on 4). I'm aiming to get to 45 minutes on 5 by the end of year. I go on it once a week at the moment but intend to increase that too.
    I go for long walks in the nearby park and use a stair stepper to exercise my calves and quads- not every day just when the mood takes me.
    I use dumbbells (at times 1 and half pounds and at others 3 pounds- depending on the exercise) and 2 sets of ankle weights for each leg for my toning/strengthening and have a "thigh master" for inner/outer thigh toning and do 250 and of those 3 times a week.

    I just wanted to say I found reading your messages on the goals for October thread very motivational.
    I've been off the exercise wagon for a month and am working my way back up to my original regime of at least 40 minutes cardio 5 days a week with 50 minutes toning ( some of which was with weights) but I've been finding it difficult to get up and talk myself into moving with the mornings getting darker and colder.
    You've just inspired me to get on with the plan. Thanks!!! emoticon
