Dealing with weight gain has been very difficult for me. I have done everything from yo-yo dieting, to over- the- counter "110 lb bodies in a bottle" to losing 60 lbs from being sick. Last year I re-gained 20 of those 60 lbs and have beaten myself up daily for gaining it back. I decided that it was time I make some serious changes in my lifestyle. Not sure where or how to start sent me searching for answers. I first talked with my doctor about weight loss and he suggested I follow Weight Watchers and start working out. I thought ok, I can do that. Pretty simple and straight forward. With the diet part taken care of, it was time to find support and motivation. My next stop was WebMD. There I found online weight loss support groups and decided to join one thinking I could possibly find a "diet buddy". Honestly, I wasnt too committed at that time so I got out of it what I put in....Not a lot. A couple of weeks went by and I decided one day to check my message box just to see if anyone had responded to my call for help. There was one post telling me about another online diet support group that might be more what I was looking for. I thank God daily for that person and the message that was left. If I had not taken the time to look one last time, I would not have been introduced to the BEST online weight- loss support and motivation group..........SPARKPEOPLE..........
On August 28, 2008 I joined SparkPeople and decided that I was no longer going to let my weight rule my life and define who I am.
SparkPeople has brought so many supportive and motivating buddies into my life and I am thankful for everyone of them.
So..... I've hit the road on a journey to learn how to take control of my weight issues and most important to find and become "The Person I Was Created To Be"

THURSDAY: Spin/Fit Express Class/Treadmill 3 mi 20% incline/Lower Body/Crunchless Abs Workout #4
FRIDAY: Spin/Upper Body/Crunchless Abs Workout #5
SATURDAY: Spin/Crunchless Abs #6
SUNDAY: Day of Rest

Fitness Minutes: 5,340

My Goals:
Tell myself over and over and over that I rule my weight...It does not rule me!

What I hope to find and accomplish on my journey to self discovery:

1. Self Confidence
2. Self Esteem
3. Learn to Love Myself
4. Good Health
5. Weight Loss
6. Go shopping and be able to buy normal clothes in normal stores
7. Inner Peace
8. A fit & Toned Body

I want to be able to sit with my legs crossed and feel comfortable, to climb stairs and not feel out of breath, buy normal size clothes that will fit instead of shoes and purses (they always fit), see myself as I am and learn to be my own best friend.

My Program:
I am following Weight Watchers meal plans (1200 cal/day)

Work out at least 5 days/week following new plan.

New Daily Goals:
1. Do MY workout plan
2. Track every meal every day
3. Drink 4 cups of water every day....increasing to 8+
4. Cut out sugar completely....starting one day at a time
5. Keep from becoming over committed
6. Do a 10 minute Crunchless abs workout video every day

Learn how to:
H --Too Hungry
A --Too Angry
L -- Too Lonely
T -- Too Tired
Before I eat, I will...Step back, take a deep breath and ask myself if I need to eat or do I just think I need to.

Personal Information:
I am in my Fabulous, Fun Forties...I have 3 boys or I guess I should call them young men now and 2 grandsons. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 3 years. Born, raised and still residing in Indiana.

Other Information:
My stress relievers are Starbucks, working out especially cycling classes, tanning, my flower gardens, chasing after my grandsons, curling up under a blanket reading Danielle Steele, learning how to scrapbook, wandering through an antique mall.

My husband and I enjoy traveling, throwing a log on and sitting by the fire with a bottle of wine, golfing (he plays I watch), cooking together and trying new recipes, going to auctions in search of antique furniture bargains.
