7/5/08 I just turned 40 at the end of April, and I am ready to focus on ME. I'm tired of stopping to catch my breath when I climb the stairs. I'm tired of my doctor telling me I need to lose weight. I'm tired of my clothes not fitting. I'm tired of my thighs sticking together. I'm tired of being tired! It's time to get serious about my health and happiness.

My Goals:
1. Make exercise a priority instead of a last minute thought. Goal met! 2. Use food for nourishment, not a boredom buster or pacifier. Ongoing battle! 3. Plan my meals and stick as close to the plan as possible. Work in progress...
My Program:
45-60 minutes of cardio five or six days a week. Meet with a personal trainer three times a week for strength training/toning. Read or write instead of eating when I'm not really hungry.
Personal Information:
Third grade teacher and single mom from the Bronx, NY.
Other Information:
I love reading and watching movies. I'm dabbling in photography, too. Exercise has become an integral part of my life. I feel guilty when I miss a workout session now. Before, I would look for excuses to miss them.
