I started this page in January 2008....and then didn't come back until the end of October! I love SP, it's just that I didn't make time for it like I should have. After some success I managed to gain back some of what I'd lost from October 2008 to mid-December. So now, January 2009, I'm back with it and ready to keep going!

After some success I managed to gain back some of what I'd lost from October 2008 to mid-December. So now, January 2009, I'm back with it and ready to keep going!

In August of 2006 I reached my all time highest weight of 296 pounds. Having just moved half way across the country and beginning work on my doctorate, I resolved to change my lifestyle. I was initially able to lose 71 pounds, but then cycled though gains and losses. My weight fluctuated from 225 to 254 after that. When I rejoined sparkpeople in January of 2008 I was up to 254 and at my wits end. On January 1, 2009 I weighed in at 235. After being in a car accident in late 2007 and having anxiety issues as well as physical impairments that limited my ability to exercise, I am happy to be back at it! Now I am feeling better and ready to get back to work!

My Goals:
I intend to lose 1-2 pounds per week until I reach my goal weight. (Restarting AGAIN 1/5/09)

My goal is to be down to 206 on March 26. That is my 27th birthday.

My Program:
*Exercise 5 days per week for a minimum of 30 minutes a day.

*Incorporate high fiber food and setting a goal of 30-35 grams of fiber per day.

*Drink 2 liters of fluids daily (about 75 ounces)



Personal Information:
I have a great group of friends and family! I am incredibly blessed!

Other Information:
When I initially started to try to lose weight I was up to 296. I remind myself of this so that even when progress slows down, I remember how far I've come.


When I started:
Weight: 296
BMI: 47.6

Now:
Weight 208
BMI: 33.57

I enjoyed reading your blogs and seeing your progress on your journey. Doesn't look like you've been on here for awhile. I hope that doesn't mean that you have given up on your goals. Hang in there. Our motivation and the strength that God gives us will get you to your final goal.
