Looking and feeling fit, healthy and happy!

I love feeling fit and healthy!
I have was a bit of a fitness freak through high school but loved all food, however In my first year of university I had to undergo surgery for GERD (Heartburn/reflux) in my stomach.
This time of my life was one of the hardest as I had to stop my fitness and my eating habits were all over the place as I could not eat certain foods.

I was having complications after my surgery with stomach pains and bloating. I was then told by my doctor ...

I was having complications after my surgery with stomach pains and bloating. I was then told by my doctor I had IBS ( irritable bowel syndrome).


I have gained about 10kgs (22pounds) of weight over the last year since the surgery and I'm sick of seeing myself this way.

My goal is to one day run a half marathon and then a full marathon!
I have never been the best runner but I never want to give up and I like to push myself when it comes to fitness and fight through the hard days where motivation is hard to find!

I love seeing other peoples success stories as it helps me in my own journey :)

Currently I,
-Do cardio 4x a week
-weights 3x a week
- yoga 1x a week

I always warm up, warm down and stretch!

Kudos to you for joining us here on the Raw Foodies Team. This will be one of the best decisions you have ever made. Sparkers come here and join this great team for a multitude of reasons. They may be curious about the health benefits of Raw Food and join to learn all about eating Raw. Many join for the weight loss. Many join the Team for a Detox. There are a great many people who do the Raw Food Diet as a Detox but then they realize how alive they feel and how the pounds melted away so effortlessly they decide to continue to eat this way. There are others who will join this Team for the health benefits of a Raw Food Diet. A diet based on raw food can reverse diabetes, arthritis (I personally have experienced this. I went off all of my arthritis meds after only a few weeks), heart disease, cancer (that is how I became involved with the Raw Food Diet when my sister was diagnosed with Lymphoma), eliminates migraines, the list goes on and on.
