THE START OF MAKING HEALTHY GOALS AND HEALTHY CHOICES!

I am starting to make healthy choices and healthy goals for my self. My family has a history of health issues and obesity and I do not want to succumb to those problems just because I am 'prone' to them. I want to become more active and stop being a victim. It is up to me to make these changes - no one else. I would appreciate any support and motivation that you can offer me.

It's the last day of July ...a good time to reflect upon your goals for August! Things to consider may be...

How many fitness minutes do you want to try to achieve?
How many pounds would you reasonably like to lose?
What new activities would you like to try?
What has been working for you that you would like to continue?
What hasn't been working and should be changed?

Not everyone likes to set goals, but it is a valuable tool to use on this journey. Goals help to provide focus and a vision for what we want to accomplish. Even if we fail to meet our goals, the experience provides valuable feedback --- What went wrong? What behavior do we need to change to attain what we set out to do?

Take a few minutes ... challenge yourself with some goals for August!
