It's Now or Never

Feb 2016, I am a week into a program called Fit Girls Guide doing their 28 day Jumpstart It's January 2016 and I am in my 34th year of life, I HAVE to get healthier. I am dealing with a plethora of health issues that are standing in the way of quality of life, I'm ready for a major life change.

My Goals:
My first goal is to lose 10% of my body weight, which will be about 34lbs. I'm going to focus on healthy eating, staying away from processed foods, and finding a pool for cardio that doesn't stress my joints.

My Program:
I'm going to fill my fridge and pantry with good wholesome foods. I am going to continue to pray for the strength to change my habits, as I know the power of prayer is incredible.

I am going back to school Spring 2010, so I am going to focus on making sure I get my breakfast in to start my day.

Personal Information:
Well I live in sunny southern California, I work full time as a free-lance makeup artist. I have decided to eliminate toxic habits and people out of my life and focus on the positives.

Other Information:
I have a few health issues that I'm dealing with - the greatest at present is Thyroid Cancer which I am currently (as of January 2010) undergoing further treatment for. I had my thyroid removed in 2006 but the cancer remains, so not only do I have to get healthier for overall health benefits I specifically want to improve my chances of fighting this disease. I don't consider myself special because of anything I have going on, every one has their uphill battle to struggle with - but I know that God will never give me more than I can bear:)

Hey girlfriend, I am on the same path as you. Saw you on another person's page and wanted to see if you wanted to join me and my girlfriend who walk at the SBCC track every night at around 8:00 p.m. We go for 1 hour (2 miles) every night (well almost every night unless we are sore). Would like to join us?

Hi! I see that you havn't Bloged since fall of last year. But I hope that you are still on your journey of getting and staying fit!!!
I joined SP in July of 2007 and have definately had my ups and downs (on track off track & on again), so if you ever need support, look me up.

Plus I live in SB too, so I was excited to see another Black person from SB on SP :o) Have a blessed weekend. And remember YOU CAN , no... YOU ARE DOING IT!!!
