Once fairly good athlete, distance runner etc. , several joint surgeries later took up recreational eating instead. Now need to break the habit. Get a tremendous pleasure from eating.

Hi,
It took me about 6 months to lose the weight. I gained a few back though. I am trying to take a couple pounds off, but it is difficult with the holidays. I love to eat! That is my biggest problem.
I had horses. I miss them terribly. I had to sell my last horse when I became pregnant with twins. My doctor told me not to ride for fear of losing the twins. That was 25 years ago! I still love them! I try to exercise more, so I can eat more of what I want. Good luck to you. Remember, you can do this! emoticon

I'd had three surgeries on my left knee. --Originally from skiing (I nearly want to add an "of course" to that but there are many ways to blow a knee). They had to go back in and do some moving and filing one year later, then again several years later. Though I do not have full flex-ion, it almost never bothers me but I can't run any more, which I desperately miss. Meantime I do ride a bike a lot - I commute on a bike but in truth, am still really just trying to pretend I like it. :D

My L shoulder was also fixed about two years ago. Nice of you to ask. I checked out your page - wow! Great work!

Welcome back to the active world !!! You didn't mentiion which joints you had surgery on but I have bad knees. I found that my stationary bike is the best exercise for me. It strengthened my knees without the pressures of my weight. Wishing you GREAT success !!!
