"We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually who are we not to be?" Marianne Williamson. February 2012. What is it you are seeking outside of yourself? "Be the Source." Neale Donald Walsch. Update 1-1-11. January 1st, 2011. I'm excited about the year ahead. I love the promise of new beginnings - and this is the start of a whole new decade. My resolutions are to walk more and write more. I'm targeting 10,000 steps a day. And writing three pages in my journal each morning. I envision myself as fit, fabulous, radiant and of service to the divine in everyone. Update March 23, 2010 Cholesterol is back in the normal, healthy range. Lost 20 pounds. For three months, I logged nutrition daily, ate within a healthy calorie range, and walked a minimum of 10,000 steps a day. Now eating more fruits and veggies than ever before. Thanks Spark People! November 2009: My doctor has let me know I need to lose some weight, a minimum of 11 pounds and to keep my cholesterol numbers down. I want to show up in life as my radiant, best self. Weight goals are part of the total package. Planning for the best possible outcome in the best possible way. Here is more of Marianne's quote: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are we not to be? "You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. "We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us. It's in everyone. "And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fears, our presence automatically liberates others." Love tells me I am everything. Between the two my life flows." From Shri Swami Satchidananda 1 February Ultimate Help "On a pilgrimage you learn to depend on a higher source. You learn that you cannot depend on anything else for your safety or for your peaceful life. All other things, though they are around, can only help you to a certain extent. They are limited. The ultimate help comes from the God within. Om Shanthi, Shanthi, Shanthi" "Do you have the courage to be who you truly are? " -Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan May I have the courage today To live the life that I would love, To postpone my dream no longer But do at last what I came here for And waste my heart on fear no more. - John O'Donohue "Be who you are and say what you feel... Because those that matter... don't mind... And those that mind... don't matter." ----- Conjure something glowing Take this day You were born with hands for spinning Talent for dreams and making them real Roll the hours like yarn Spin something that makes you feel full And big and open to talk Make this day your own square In your own life quilt So shining it brightens the whole of your years This far Make this day like one of God's seven. -- Ruth Forman -------- Tao Te Ching, Verse 11: Thirty spokes share the wheel's hub; It is the center hole that makes it useful. Shape clay into a vessel; It is the space within that makes it useful. Cut doors and windows for a room: It is the holes which make it useful. Therefore profit comes from what is there; Usefulness from what is not there. Inner guidance 2/14/2010: "Be happy with who you are. That is the main thing."
