Welcome to 2013

I have been away for a long while. 2012 was a very hard year for me and my hubby. But I look forward to 2013 with new hope.

Since I stopped visiting Spark People, my goal was to maintain my weight. However the life style changes I made while I was here stuck with me. I continued to loose weight slowly. I have moved down to a size 16 pants (considering I was pushing a size 24 a little over a year ago I think that is great).

I also got a new job at the start of December and I actually feel good about what I do now. It makes a ton of difference in my life. My job is not difficult, and not mentally stimulating, and it's 2nd shift hours. But at the end of the day I know what I did that day can help make people's lives better, and maybe even help save a life, so it's all good.

Here is to a Great 2013 full of promise and hope. May it be a better year for everyone.

My Goals:
My Goal is to be healthy and happy, and to have a baby (or 5) and live to see them grow up also health and happy.

My Program:
I am working on the 10% at a time model (loosing 10% of your total weight at a time until you reach the health level). Goals seem more reachable that way and more chances to see success along the way then failure when your goal just seem so far away.

To do this I am going to:

*cut down on portion sizes

*eat more whole foods and skip the heavily processed stuff

*get off my butt and move.

*log what I eat even when I am going over my goals or eating unhealthy stuff (I'm not a saint after all and indulgence in moderation can be ok)

Personal Information:
Iím not one to post to much personal detail, I find I am willing to share more and say more online if people donít know too much about me. Between my own trust issues and my motherís very vocal options on giving out such information, I find it easier this way. I will not lie, what I put here will be my truthful thoughts, options and stories. But my real name, email address and other such details will not be posted. (oh and if you do happen know me, I appreciate your courtesy in not posting or giving out my personal details either)

That being said call me Brie or Brielana as you see fit.

I lost my job several years back and after a couple of years of unemployment I now work for a fast food restaurant. I continue to look for other opportunities that better suite me but as many of you know, it's a tough job market out there.

Other Information:
I like to read, mostly Fantasy stuff, but I do like a bit of variety. Chronicles of Amber, Thomas Covenant, Harry Potter, Magic Kingdom for Sale, The Deryni and various other series of books. I also tend to read various Ann Rice books as well (her erotica as well as her more traditional works)

I also like to watch movies, Girl Flicks, Period Pieces, Action/Adventure, Fantasy, Sci-Fi and what ever else catches my eye. We (hubby again) donít have cable or satellite so our TVs are Mostly used for playing games or watching DVDs. We collect various TV serious once they come out and watch them that way (so I am always behind the buzz on shows). We currently collect Mentalist, Fringe, Castle Haven and Bones. But we also have complete sets of Buffy, Angel, FireFly, Jericho, and Hereos.

Try mapping out your feelings.
The key to success is to understand why you eat when you are having an issue with eating. What? Are you eating because you are scared, sad, mad, etc? When the urge to eat strikes get up and move!
