Hi my name is Brian. I was overweight most of my life according to most calculators, but it was barely noticeable because of my body fat is lower. However recently for the last 2 years of have become obese. I blame alot of myself. but alot of my emotional eating came from stress-mostly from a failed marriage, college, and drama.

Now things are alot better I feel very confident about losing the weight. When i was on deployment in the navy i lost nearly 50lbs in 5 months, with no exercise, that was because the diet on the ship was restricted-no fast food but normal foods. Imagined if i did exercise.

Anyway i gained that weight back and then some. My lowest point i was down to 217(2 years ago), most of my young adult life i was btwn 189-230, now im 289 as of this page. My highest was 306.thats when it hit me.
I also finally graduated from college so that also relieves alot of stress.

I live by myself with my 3 year old daughter. I want her to have a healthy daddy and to see from example how healthy eating is.

My Goals:
I tried to lose weight before but i never lasted more than a week. Now im entering my 3rd week of my permanent lifestye change.its really like having a second job. tracking watching what u eat, monitoring ur exercise.

My long term goal is to get down to 185 and reducing my body fat below 17%. my short term is to get down to 235 then down to 217 finally reaching 185


My Program:
I exercise at least 5 days a week. I keep my portions under 500 calories per meal within 1900 - 2300 per day.when im hungry i drink water, if that doesn't work i drink water plus a fruit and if that doesnt work i eat a small meal of veggies and meat(chicken). I snack on lite popcorn, fruits veggies, nuts, yogurt etc. I constantly read articles and success stories. when i weight my self i usually add 2 lbs extra to account water loss and muscle loss. I do this because i have job that aready streneous in addition to cardio
