Here I go-again!

Ok, I first joined something like 3 years ago & I haven't really gone anywhere. While my fitness has improved, my weight is about the same as I am not as fully committed as I should be. So, what's done is done & in the past. I hope that in 6 months I'll be editing this again, talking about how far I've come!

My Goals:
My main goal is overall fitness, but as a number I'd like ot lose 60 lbs. I'm getting back into running & have time goals I'm working on:

5K-knock 5 minutes off & finish in 36 min.

10K-I've only run one timed 10K & finished at around 1:23; I'd like to improve to a 1:15

Half marathon: again, I've only done one & had to walk the last 6 miles; I'd like to complete one without walking under 3 hours

My Program:
I guess I don't really have a program-if I had the commitment ability to stick to one I wouldn't be in the predicament I'm in now! So, I'm going to track my food to make me more aware of what I'm eating, and get off my lazy butt & exercise at least 5x a week.

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I wish that it surprised me that people were making fun of VB but it doesnt. Seems that no matter how hard a person is trying to make things better, some people still have to bring them down. I have decided to view that as thier weakness. It's on them.
