I suffer with a condition called RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy) which is a progressive dissorder that affects your nervous system. I got RSD after a surgery on my back. These issues led to weight gain. At my heaviest I weighed 334lbs. Having lost 140lbs in 2 years and 7 months, I feel better than ever, and I am now on my way to becoming a certified personal trainer though ACE. I could not have done this without the amazing support from everyone here at Sparkpeople.

It is now my goal to help as many other people as I can, not only through sparkpeople.com, but also through my weight loss blog, notimetow8.com . I cannot wait to help others live happy, healthy lives.

All the best,
Brett

Great interview. Glad to know of someone else that went through RSD and came out on the other side. The psychological impact of our condition is almost insurmountable.

Thanks for telling us your story. Hearing these inspiring stories always motivates me. As a decades long runner who now can't run because of a permanent foot injury, I love hearing about folks who take up running and enjoy it. I'm with you in spirit. emoticon emoticon
