My weight loss journey

I have struggled with my weight most of my life. At my heaviest I was 300lbs! I have lost weight and put it back on. It was a battle I didn't feel I could win, so I gave up. I tried to convince myself that I was happy with the way I was, FAT. I got to the point that I had no energy and didn't feel like doing anything. I finally decided to take back control of my life. So, I got off my butt and I'm doing it! I feel great! Can't wait to say that I've lost 100! I have a life long journey ahead of ...

My Goals:
Short term:
Lose 5 lbs
Workout @least 30+ min a day
Drink @ least 64oz H2O
Long term:
Lose 100 lbs
Get fit
Be happy about how I look and feel.
Be confident
Look good in CUTE clothes!!!

My Program:
Trying to stay in my calorie range, and do cardio at least 30 min a day.

Personal Information:
I am 29 almost 30...ahhh!LOL I am currently going to college to be an RN. I will be graduating 2011 (hopefully) I have two wonderful lil boys age 9 and 10. They are my everything! I have struggled w/ my weight all my life. I was one of those yo yo dieters. I have lost weight and then gained it back and then some! I am trying to stay motivated to change my life not just diet. I want to be healthy and set a good example for my children.

Other Information:
I am just taking it pound by pound, setting small, reachable goals, and trying to stay motivated!!

You have come to a great place and it might actually be a boon that you lost some weight emoticon and then stopped for a while. Great that you didn't gain any back.

There are good and informative articles here and a very supportive community. Getting active on the site will really help.

What worked for me (check out my page) was finally realizing that this wasn't a diet with a beginning and an end; rather it had to be a lifestyle change. Making small sustainable changes slowly over time helped me to incorporate a new way of living and eating.

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!
