Finding My Pace

December 1st, 2014 I began medifast when I had exhausted all other weight lost and options and essentially "gave up" on a traditional way to lose weight through portion control, healthy choices, and exercise. I admitted to myself I couldn't do it on my own.

My first weigh in was at 258 pounds, my highest weight ever. In the month of December I lost 20 pounds in spite of the holidays, and a few cheats with ice cream, cake, and cookies. I am still in disbelief that something is finally working for me! My final goal is to lose between 100-130 pounds.

Pretty soon I will implementing exercise through swimming, hiking, and doing some light strength training in hopes of getting my body strong again and hoping to keep loose skin to a minimum.

I feel a definite change, and even when I tell myself I'm going to allow my cheat, I don't binge, and I don't crave what I used to - which was usually all sugar.

You have to find what works for you, and for now, this is working for me!

My Goals:
To lose between 100-130 pounds.

To strength train/exercise to build back strength to my core and arms.

To learn healthy, lifelong eating habits that will help me stay within 10 pounds of my goal weight (between 130-150).

My Program:
Medifast for the first half of my weight loss (0-65 pounds) and then *possibly* transitioning to Sparkpeople tracking and eating less red meats. This will depend upon how comfortable I feel with transitioning to my own accountability at that time.

I am also joining a swim class, will be hiking by doing trail maintenance for a service project, and plan to do some light strength training at home

I'm doing fabulous :) I'm getting married in 10 months and am so excited :) I'm still in MD and loving it. Although he's dreading the cold lol. That is so awesome on the weightloss. I joined Ideal Protein and I love it. Did you get married? Last time we talked, I believe you were engaged?
