Update January 25, 2016.
My new goal is to first lose 25 pounds. That will bring me into Onderland for the first time in about two years.

I have a lot to lose to get to my goal of 140. I think if I make some smaller goals, it may be helpful. Also, if I can keep in mind the need to live intentionally each day instead of drifting, perhaps I will meet my goals.

Currently, I am in the process of learning and implementing the Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) way of eating (woe). I belong to a TOPS Chapter in my city and we have two ladies who have had great success with this woe. One has lost 127 since the middle of December 2014. (This is Nov. 2015). She not only looks fabulous but many health issues have either cleared up or greatly improved. Two that have greatly improved are her depression and her thyroid. She is no longer fatigued all the time and has gained so much energy. She is such an inspiration.

My Goals:
*Keep a weekly food journal
*Encourage my friends weekly in their weight loss journey
*Exercise at least 3 times per week
*Lose weight every week

First weight goal: 199

My Program:
#Delete sugar and white flour from my diet.

#Keep track of carbs.
Practice the LCHF way of eating.

#Focus on lower carb veggies, fruits, and lean meat, water and herbal tea.

#Limit dairy and coffee.
Purpose to eat clean.

I am retired and loving it. I was widowed Oct. 2010. Married June 28, 2014 to Ian. I have three grown children, 2 boys and 1 girl. . I have three grandchildren, I like to study the Bible, crochet, embroider and do volunteer work.

    I receive much wise counsel through the Holy Bible. Scripture is full of wisdom for all, whether they are a believer or not. Here is the wisdom I receive today as I prepare for April's focus on developing a willingness that makes me able to succeed:

    Isaiah advises us, "For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, 'In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.' But you were not willing" ~ Isaiah 30:15.

    We miss out on good things in life when we are unwilling to cooperate in doing what is needful for achieving the good we desire. God through Isaiah tells us that our consenting to cooperate with laws, rules, guidelines, etc., leads to our eating "the best of the land" (Isaiah 1:18-20). Willingness to do what we must for what we want is a necessary mindset for overcoming temptation and the failure to achieve. Develop a willingness to do what it takes within the boundaries of what is good, right, and true, and you will go far in life.
