Spring is in the air!

March was a decent month. I dont really like the word decent but it wasnt an all out bad month and it wasnt the best it could have been either. I guess I didnt really get serious with the exrericse until we went on vacation and I started working out with the...older folks that were at our campground. I guess I didnt really get serious with the exrericse until we went on vacation and I started working out with the...older folks that were at our campground. Funny the things that can get you motivated! These ladies and gentlemen were all retired and there they were every morning doing their Leslie Sansone Walk off the Pounds. It was hilarious. I saw the monthly calendar that they hand out when you sign in and it said AEROBICS. I thought well I will go do that and run on the beach. When I got to the first class on Sunday and realized it was WOTP I knew that I was in good company. Those are one of my favorite hme dvd's! So the first couple of days I did both dvd and run two miles on the beach. Then I did the dvd and went bike riding with my husband. It was great!!!! I came home with a renewed desire to get fit. So that is what I am now doing. I have consistenly been working out every day. Leslie Sansone 3 or 4 miles and then two mile run on the treadmill! The weather is warming up and I need to run outside. Training for this 1/2 marathon I have now started running 8 miles on Saturday! Two weeks down. On Sundays I am walking 3 miles up Mount Scott and then 3 miles running down Mount Scott. The sense of accomplishment that I get is amazing. Two weeks down for that one also. I actually think that I will continue to do that one!

So lets keep April going strong. I have changed my goals and decided to only weigh in once a month. I weighed on 1 April and it went up 1 pound. Got a little depressed but have great supporters and dealt with it not with eating more food but by deciding that I cant let that scale drive what I do.

Lets keep this going!!!! We can all do what we set out to do. Hope to see you here next month!

PS....and I hope all our scales go down! LOL

My Program:
Well I signed up to run the OKC Half Marathon on May 1st for the second time. I would like to beat my previous run time of 2:45. I just purchased the Bob Harper strength training DVD so I need to try that and see what it does for me! Plus run run and more running!

Personal Information:
I live in Lawton, Oklahoma. Have been married for 22 years and have four children, Michelle 31, Cory Jr 24, Lauren 19 and Taylor 17.

Other Information:
I love to read my new Kindle is amazing. I recently got a new puppy and she is the sweetest thing ever! I have two other big dogs so it is great to have my lap dog finally! My husband and I have a bucket list to see all the NFL Football Stadiums. We are down three so far! We love RVing with our girls!

I have not been a very good "spark" friend. I feel bad. I just find that being sick has overcome my life!!! I am still watching what I eat though and staying away from McDonald's and no more icecream every night for snack! I do I have to admit I havea hard time when I am at the "Boyz" house. They always have snacks for the kids and I struggle with that sometimes.

You, however, are doing a greta job!! I know you don't see it on the scale but you have to be seeing it and feeling the difference in your body. You are getting stronger and leaner every time you walk or run on that treadmill. You have a 5k coming and you are going to be ready! THAT is a goal all by itself. Just focus on THAT goal for now!!

I love you and pray that you will find happiness in the way you look. You look amazing to me and all those who love you!!
