I saw your comment on the "stress eating" blog. I just want to commend you on coming back when you did.
You have definitely been going through some major life changes and it is normal to feel stress and even some depression because of it. It seems that you are using food, even healthy food, to numb yourself from the stress in order to find some relief. Old habits die hard. But, instead of letting yourself fall back into a pit of depression, you have decided to confront the problem and do something before things get too out of hand. WooHoo to you!
Some yoga and meditation exercises may help to release some of the stress you are feeling. Even some intense exercise can work out some anger issues you may be suppressing. Get on some boxing gloves and punch a punching bag with all your might.
Try to reassure yourself that everything will be okay. Even if you don't believe it at first, just keep saying the words over and over. It will eventually sink in. This is part of my "fake it 'til you make it" mantra.
What you are going through is temporary and soon you will be used to the new situation. Look at it in a positive light. A new beginning. A new chapter in your life. An OPPORTUNITY to make it whatever you want.
You can get that weight back off. You already know what works because you did it before. Add some protein, cut some carbs, pump some iron, burn some fat...you CAN do it!!!
Congratulations on your successes and welcome back. Life is a journey...enjoy the ride! Best wishes!
