Taking it Day by Day
Wow has life can change in a year. I gave birth to my son in May 2010, and now am FINALLY ready to bring back some of the focus to me and getting myself healthy again. I've never been too out of shape, but am always lurking on the edge of where I really want to be. I've finally learned how to balance my new life, and am excited to set some new fitness goals for myself. Basically they are: 1) Get on a 5x per week workout schedule 2) Complete a 5K by the end of the year 3) Get back into rowing -- my preferred sport 4) Get back to pre-preganancy weight by May 2011 (150 lb) & lose an additional 5-10 lbs by the end of the summer. It's a short list for now, but I know that it's something that I can handle. I'm very excited and motivated right now to start moving in the direction of "healthy mom" for my son. Can't wait to see what this journey brings.
