When I joined SparkPeople in 2007 I was at my heaviest weighing in at 190 lbs. at only 19 years old and was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I knew something needed to change. I was unhappy, inactive and felt like I was allowing life to pass me by. I slowly made changes to my diet and starting walking during my lunch breaks. I completed the Insanity challenge and a fire I never knew was in me was lit. I have since made my eating habits and workout routines into a lifestyle.

At 26 years old and 120 pounds, I am currently the most fit and healthy I have ever been. Its not just about the numbers on the scale for me. I am really enjoying finding myself through this new way of life. I am way more outgoing and active. I love connecting with others regarding our accomplishments, setbacks, reviews of products/programs, recipes and everything in between. There is always room for improvement and something new to learn or attempt and I am having such a fun time doing so.

I love making healthy food swaps in place of my not so healthy favorite foods (you can see some examples on my instagram page - Fitgirl573).

I definitely still like to indulge on the weekends and Beachbody programs and products have helped me find a healthy balance with food and fitness. I just recently became a beachbody coach and I love the motivation and accountability it has brought so far.

get as much exercise and walking in addition to as many activites into my daily life as possible

watch portion sizes

drink more water

    Good to hear you got in the workout. I know it is hard to workout when you get home from work...that is what I have to do and usually, I just want to skip it! However, good for you that you did it! Does your boyfriend do it with you? That is cool if so!

    I know you said it is hard to workout when you get home because you need to make dinner. Have you ever tried making meals a head of time? Like on Sunday night, so all of your preparation so that it doesn't take so much time when you get home. Just a suggestion. I have had to start doing that. It helps tremendously!

    You are certainly NOT a let down to me. The only one you can let down is yourself. I won't push for the challenge, but I think it would be good for you. You do not have to do 50 in 60. You can set your own goal...40 in 50 (since today is day 10). Even 35 in 50. That way you are trying to reach some type of goal to help you out. We have another person who is in the process of moving to Italy who has had to drop off and will pick back up when settled. She won't make 50 either. On the last challenge, I did 54 in 90. So, it is not really about truly making it to the number specified...it is about just making an effort. I probably would not have made it to 54 even had I not been part of the challenge!

    Just trying to offer some motivation...hope you don't find it too pushy!

    I didn't workout this AM either. I didn't get to work until 8:45am...oops! I am lucky to have a flexible job. Good to hear that you got a DVD player! I hope that you are able to workout tonight. You can do this...I know you can! Are you still doing the Stars and Stripes challenge? Even if you don't do all 50 workouts...you can still do the challenge. You will find that it keeps you motivated. I know if motivates me. I have done 7 in 9 days. I will do #8 today.

    Well...keep up the good work. I will stop by from time to time to see how you are doing!

    So...how are you doing w/ your workouts? I know you were having issues w/ the DVD player, etc. And, I read the post you made in the Tae Bo challenge. Just been thinking about it...hope you are finding sometime to get in those workouts.
