Sick of being overweight, out of shape and tired!

I came across SparkPeople completely by accident, but the more I log on, the more motivativated I feel. I don't know how I let myself get to this point, but I'm sick of it, and I'm ready for a change. I'm 36 years old and I'm ready to look and feel good again!!

UPDATE: Well, I'm 37 years old now and I've lost about 40 lbs. so far. I feel better than I have in years! Just gotta keep it up and not go back to my old ways!

Update (Again) August 1, 2011- I am 39 years ...

Update (Again) August 1, 2011- I am 39 years old now and just recently started my diet and exercise program back again. Unfortunately, I am almost right back where I started in 2008!!!

I had a huge setback...my sister suddenly passed away, and we were VERY close, so it's taken me a while to get back in to the frame of mind to where I actually care what is going on in my life. But now, I think I'm ready, so we'll see!

My Goals:
I would love to lose about 60 lbs, not be embarrassed about the way I look, and just be comfortable with myself.

My Program:
I've been having a SlimFast or a bowl of cereal w/ fruit for breakfast, eating salads everyday for lunch, snacking on mostly fruits and veggies (cut calories way back), trying to eat a sensible dinner, doing cardio 4 or 5 times a week and strength training 2 or 3 times a week. I like working out on the Elliptical (really burns a lot of calories!), stationary bike, different exercise DVDs and the treadmill. I am slowly seeing results!
