Why call myself "Breadbaker2"? I entered my bread in our local county fair, and I won first prize over roughly 500 entries. So, I call myself "Bread Baker". I love to cook.
I lack discipline to stay on a "diet", but I believe this program will keep me on track. Wish me luck on this "journey".
I was a widow in 2004, but found love again, and married in 2006 to a dream of a husband.
I need to lose 64 #. I love to cook, but hate to "diet". Totie Fields, Comedian, (May 7, 1930-August 2, 1978) used to say the first 3 letters in DIET are DIE. Well, she did, too young. I want to live a long life so that I can see my grandchildren grow up!
I first signed up with Spark people at the advice of my daughter, in the fall of 2008. I just ignored the site for months, but it "haunted" me. I am taking a cruise in March, and I would like to lose at least 10 # before that time! So, I restarted this journey Feb 2, 2009!
Born and raised in Minnesota, I have the "Fargo" accent that my kids think is funny! My mother was 100% Swedish (big accent!) my Dad was German/Irish I thought (he was adopted). I just found out I am 1/8th French, AH-HA, no wonder I love to cook. And, I can do a good Julia Childs immitation.

This is definitely a life-long journey for me. First it was acknowledging that I am an emotional over-eater, then working on changing it, adding in exercise & better food choices. Every day seems to have challenges....so I'm here for the long-run.
The other day, realizing how long I've been working on this and what have I accomplished.
Glad you are back!!

"Beautiful Woman Award! Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the wall of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out"
