Time For Me

I just turned 33. Losing weight and taking care of myself was never a priority of mine. I always thought because I was a mother I should take care of my kids first. So, I did and in the process I let myself go. I was 65 pounds overweight. I was experiencing heart palpitations and shortness of breath. I was always tired and felt run down. I just didn’t feel good physically or feel good about myself.

So, I did and in the process I let myself go. I was 65 pounds overweight. I was experiencing heart palpitations and shortness of breath. I was always tired and felt run down. I just didn’t feel good physically or feel good about myself.

Food for me is a recreation. My days were planned around food. I would wake up in the morning and couldn’t wait until it was time to go to eat. Before I was even finished with my first meal I was already off to thinking about the next meal. Never mind the fact that I probably had consumed enough calories in that first meal to last the entire day!

We started a “Biggest Loser” contest at work. I started out the "Biggest Loser" competition at work thinking there is no way I can do this. We were going to be doing this over the holidays - Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. What does everyone do during these holidays? Eat! That is what I usually do and I eat alot! This year was different. I watched what I ate and kept track and I exercised and tracked it. It was a good time. I feel good about the changes I made in my life and I am sticking with them.

I ended up being the biggest loser at work. And I won everything!
Surprise, surprise!

56 pounds gone and I feel great!

FINAL GOAL - lose a total of 65 pounds by 7/4/07

Hey Brandi:

I have been MIA again. I swear It is so hot and humid and the nats are horrible. Cant get out with the horses unless its close to dawn or early morning if not its too hot they are just standing in the shade dripping sweat.

Hope you are doing well. How is the pony working for the kids. I am glad to see you are doing well on the program. I have been very busy and with the kids and summer.
