My name is Liz and I started using SparkPeople in October of 2006. In one year I lost over 80 pounds, became a fitness enthusiast, and ran several races. Then I lost my job, stopped going to the gym and fell back into bad old habits. Now that I have gained back all the weight and poor health, I've realized it's time to do it all over again.

What makes this time more difficult is that I know how long it takes, how much effort and sweat and tears, and how hopeless it can seem. It hurts to know that I had everything I ever wanted and let it go, but I did it once and I know I can do it again.

The thing I missed most of all about SP is the wonderful group of friends and supporters I made when I was active on the site. It made all the difference in the world the first time around, and I'm hoping this time to reconnect with old SparkBuddies and make new ones. I've missed this place.

My Goals:
My goal is to replicate the success I had the first time I used SP to lose weight. I plan to lose a total of 89 pounds, get back into running in races, and eventually become a group fitness instructor, which has been a dream of mine for many years.

My Program:
I use the nutrition tracker to stay within my daily calorie goals.

I create a calendar every Monday to plan my weekly fitness routine.

Each Friday for dinner I am allowed to eat anything I want.

I blog about my nutrition and fitness goals to keep myself focused and on track.

Personal Information:
I'm a 27-year-old web designer, mom, avid reader and movie buff from Arizona. I'm generally friendly, open-minded, easy-going and I love my family and friends. They are the most important things in my life.

I Love: Harry Potter, Neil Gaiman, Dexter, my iPhone, Nightmare Before Christmas, Johnny Depp, Classic Rock, Enchiladas, Halloween, Guitar Hero, Rollercoasters, and anything British.

Liz, if you are out there somewhere.... You are an inspiration and I hope you are up and back on that horse. We get knocked down. It's life but we have to get back up. You did it before and I am cheering for you again. Come on. You can do it!!!!

Boy do I feel you. I had gotten down to a comfortable weight as well and let it all go. I remember watching myself get bigger and bigger and thinking "what are you doing to yourself?! Stop before it gets worse!".

I hope you're back on the bandwagon =)
