It has been at least 3 years since I joined SparkPeople. I created this account in May 2008, and I had another account before that. I deleted the old account and created a new one as a way of starting from scratch. Not long after that, I fell off the wagon.

I am trying again. This time I'm using the same account. I've psyched myself up for this change. I have given myself pep talks for the past week and set the date to start my diet. That day is Sunday, January 30, 2011. I'm feeling more confident about dieting and exercising. I can't say exactly why, but guess it's because I am tired of feeling tired. I hope that eating better and exercising will make me feel better. I don't like what I see when I look in the mirror. I get winded very easily and have aches and pains that I know are related to my weight. The only thing I'm worried about is my knee. I suffered a knee injury a year and a half ago. I hope that the swelling will be minimal.

I have done my grocery shopping and planned out my meals. I also plan to start exercising tomorrow. I hope that this time I can do it.
