My Program:
I am NOT on a DIET, That word is banned from our house. I want this 'Change of Lifestyle' to stay forever.

Personal Information:
I am not going to put my age #cos you have to keep updating it, so suffice to say that I'm over 55! I am married to a wonderful person called Pete who is 10 years younger than me. He has joined SP and is CATMAN124. Together we are going to make it!!!!!
My Mum is still alive and well and lives in North Wales and we visit her as often as possible.
I took early retirement from the Bank in 2006 after 36 years ( murderers get to serve less time than that )
I have decided that I must try to get as much weight off as possible and have lost nearly a stone in the past year which is quite good but need to do much more.

Have been to doc with sciatica. She says there is nothing to do about it. She can give me anti inflams, which I am not allowed to take as I only have one kidney. Too big a risk of renal failure for me with them so I walk about, cycle and just generally ride it out. It's late in the year for me. I reckon that it's the weightloss and my body getting used to changing. I might go back to yoga. I might actually drive to Stafford and see my DORN practitioner, who is awesome and sorted it out last time. Definitely worth the drive.

Hi Jude

I don't have to have anything else with my diet, but I do. I follow the 'Man Plan' which is 3 packs of food plus up to 250 calories from an allowed list. I can have brocolli, cauliflower, cabbage, mushrooms, spinach etc. I can have most green salad as well as tuna, prawns, salmon etc. I can also have pork, ham, chicken, turkey, beef & lamb but I don't really do much in the way of meat so I stick to tuna and salmon. I have gone off prawns, I don't like the texture of them.

We always have salad in the house, eggs too. I make omelettes with one whole egg plus an egg white (Ken fries the rest of the egg for a bacon and egg sandwich). It's a filling lunch. By using an egg white, it leaves me more calories for other things if required.

I am somewhat envious of all your SW food but I'll probably be joining you in 6 weeks. I really needed to kick start myself as I've been struggling for about 15 years. I know that I'm merely overweight so don't have real problems but I've seen pictures of my biological family, all using sticks because of failing joints and I don't really fancy that being my future. It's like someone has lit a fire under my bum this year. I reckon it's' the new job and working with all those slender youngsters. :-)

Happy Sparking. You really inspire me with your swimming. I really must get back in a pool. Better buy a cossie first though. Don't want to get banned on my first go for years.

It's funny that you should say that the SW scales weigh more than your home scales. When I did SW, & Weight Watchers for that matter, the scales weighed more than my home scales, the gym scales and the scales at my doctor's surgery - both the ones where the doc moves the little weights along the arm and the set that look like industrial bathroom scales. I often wondered if all the others were wrong or I was just a nasty, suspicious sort of person.
