"I can eat that cookie because I know how to burn it off!" - that is a quote by my boxing & boot camp teacher. She is the most kick ass instructor I have ever had and she tells it lik e it is. My passing my ACE exam and being hired as a personal trainer, I know how to do just that. It's everything in moderation, but when I do go overboard at least I know how to burn it off and get back on track.

I am getting married in April 2009 and I want to be healthy once again. I have been active in the swimming arena, but have not had the motivation to continue with that now that I am in the "Real world." I want to be a buff bride for my wedding and just look good. I am also trying to chaneg my lifestyle so that I am continuing to eat healthy and exercise.

"All your life you are told the things you cannot do. All your life they will say you're not good enough or strong enough or talented enough; they will say you're the wrong height or the wrong weight or the wrong type to play this or be this or achieve this. They will tell you NO, a thousand times no, until all the no's become meaningless. All your life they will tell you no, quite firmly and very quickly.
And you will tell them YES." - Nike

I love this quote...found it on somebody's page. I don't remember who so I'm sorry that i took it without asking :-) This is my mantra in the current time. I absolutely LOVE going to the gym and working out and am finally pursuing my studies to become a personal trainer. I am scared and excited at the same time! This is helping me fully embrace a healthy lifestyle and becoming the person that I truly want to be.

I am completely hooked on boxing at the moment. I go to class 2 - 3x week depending on my schedule. It is also a circuit training class so I get plenty of strength work in.

I read the Clean Eating book about a dozen times and learn something new every time! It really takes a lot of planning and practice to get this down, and even then, it is so hard to be 100% clean. I strive for 90% every day. My weakness is artficial sweetenrs and bread...though reducing the sweeteners and now make my own bread.
