Time to get healthy

I'm a 25 year old lady. I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I was a swimmer in high school, and even when I was swimming 3 miles a day (at least 2 hours) and lifting twice a week, my doctor told me I needed to exercise more and lose weight. I lost 35 pounds on my own and kept it off for a few years. In 2010 I went back to grad school and gained 15 pounds back. Now, I need to lose that 15 pounds, plus I would like to lose another 40-50 more to be in the "normal" weight/BMI range. I ...

I want to be a healthy, active, fun grandmother (looking waaayyy ahead) in half a century.

My Goals:
My long term goal is to lose 40 lbs.

I would like to lose 10lbs by April 10.

My Program:
I am starting easy. I am using the Wii Fit and Zumba Fitness for Wii to get myself back into exercise. Then I plan on incorporating some videos (yoga and belly dance). Finally, when the weather warms up I will start walking more, also I will get on my bike and roller blades, and use my hula hoop.

Personal Information:
I grew up in Oshkosh and now live with my husband, two cats, a gecko, and a betta fish in De Pere, Wisconsin.

Hey there!!! How did the attempt at running go?? Let me know! Good luck either way! I would say I am still more at the "jogging" stage. Running or sprinting isn't there yet. Plus there's still a lot of bounce that happened when I try haha.

Thanks for commenting on my blog! I was definitely having an emotional breakdown that day. Since then I'm doing much better. It's nice getting support from people who can understand where I'm coming from.

Noticed you're from DePere and Zumba too! I LOVE Zumba!! Where do you go to work out?

That's ok! I completely understand! I go to energy fitness and dance in Ashwaubenon. Monday's zumba is at 7 Tuesday's at 5:30 Wednesday's 7 Thursday's 5:30 Friday 4:30 and Saturday at 10:00am :)
