I'm a 28 year old teacher. I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I was a swimmer in high school, and even when I was swimming 3 miles a day (at least 2 hours) and lifting twice a week, my doctor told me I needed to exercise more and lose weight. I lost 35 pounds on my own and kept it off for a few years. In 2010, I went back to grad school and gained 15 pounds back. I have since lost 11 pounds and 14.75 inches. I wish to lose another 30-35 pounds, but I am also more happy with my body and health now than I have been my whole life. I am active, participating in Zumba and Yoga classes, and I enjoy outdoor activities like camping and hiking, which can help with health. I am trying to lose weight mostly for the health aspects. I want to be a healthy, active, fun grandmother (looking waaayyy ahead) in half a century. I also want to be able to continue traveling and being active for many decades.

My Goals:
My long term goal is to lose 32 lbs.



My Program:
During the summer, I participate in one 60 minute Zumba class each week and one 90 minute yoga class. I also try to get outdoors to hike/bike/other activity. During the school year, I will increase the Zumba classes to two times per week, or I might check out a martial arts class. Participating in classes keeps me motivated.



Personal Information:
I grew up in Oshkosh and now live with my husband, two cats, a gecko, and a fish in Marshfield, WI. I teach in Granton.

    Hey there!!! How did the attempt at running go?? Let me know! Good luck either way! I would say I am still more at the "jogging" stage. Running or sprinting isn't there yet. Plus there's still a lot of bounce that happened when I try haha.

    That's ok! I completely understand! I go to energy fitness and dance in Ashwaubenon. Monday's zumba is at 7 Tuesday's at 5:30 Wednesday's 7 Thursday's 5:30 Friday 4:30 and Saturday at 10:00am :)
