Continuing my health journey

I'm a 28 year old teacher. I've struggled with my weight my entire life. I was a swimmer in high school, and even when I was swimming 3 miles a day (at least 2 hours) and lifting twice a week, my doctor told me I needed to exercise more and lose weight. I lost 35 pounds on my own and kept it off for a few years. In 2010, I went back to grad school and gained 15 pounds back. I have since lost 11 pounds and 14.75 inches. I wish to lose another 30-35 pounds, but I am also more happy with my body ...

I was a swimmer in high school, and even when I was swimming 3 miles a day (at least 2 hours) and lifting twice a week, my doctor told me I needed to exercise more and lose weight. I wish to lose another 30-35 pounds, but I am also more happy with my body and health now than I have been my whole life. I am active, participating in Zumba and Yoga classes, and I enjoy outdoor activities like camping and hiking, which can help with health. I am trying to lose weight mostly for the health aspects. I want to be a healthy, active, fun grandmother (looking waaayyy ahead) in half a century. I also want to be able to continue traveling and being active for many decades.

Hey there!!! How did the attempt at running go?? Let me know! Good luck either way! I would say I am still more at the "jogging" stage. Running or sprinting isn't there yet. Plus there's still a lot of bounce that happened when I try haha.

Thanks for commenting on my blog! I was definitely having an emotional breakdown that day. Since then I'm doing much better. It's nice getting support from people who can understand where I'm coming from.

Noticed you're from DePere and Zumba too! I LOVE Zumba!! Where do you go to work out?
