I am BORN2BFIT!!!!

I am a 41 year old wife and mother of two. I started with 115 pounds to lose and now I have 83 pounds to lose. The scale is going down, just not as fast as I would like. I lost my job in April '09- it's difficult to balance the emotional highs and lows of job loss and trying to lose weight.

I found a friend to walk with and I have been walking 12-15 miles per week for five weeks. it makes me feel better.

My Goals:
My goal is to feel comfortable in clothes, airplane seats, in public. To feel confident and full of energy. Losing weight is a huge part of this.

I am going to win the battle this time!

My Program:
Counting Calories. I can eat what I want, however, if I make sensible choices... I will meet my goals faster. Must exercise 4-5 times per week. Right now, I am doing Zumba and Elliptical Trainer.

Hey! Thanks for the encouragement and cheers!! I am so excited to be TMOW!! I can remember sending people posts congradulating them, and its so fun to be the one getting all the cheers!!

Congrats on your success!! It is awesome to see that you have not quit for so long!! It can be hard when things move slow, but as long as you are still getting smaller, slow is okay!! I too have 99 pounds to loose and I know that can feel like alot, but it used to be 140!! So, I know how you feel!!

I try to focus on 5 pounds at a time. At 41 pounds lost, I will reach my next goal in 4 more pounds!! That sounds much easier to accomplish than 99!! Whatever mind games we have to play to get to our ultimate goal, I say do it!!

I too am a big Zumba fan!! I am so excited to be part of a great class that I attend 2 times a week with a fabulous instructor who is so encouraging and fun!! Zumba is a great way to burn calories while laughing and having a great time!!

Keep up the great work and thanks for the thoughtful words!!

Cheers, Shannon
