Running for joy!

I was never much of a runner, but last year in preparation for our wedding, I started hitting the pavement. Started running 5K's, 10K's, 12K's...and worked my way up to my first half marathon. Although I never really did it for speed, I really enjoyed it. Running over the winter is difficult for me but as spring time rolls around, I am back at it! This year I plan to run a marathon! Training has commenced and I am looking forward to the results!

As an animal nutritionist, I have a good idea of how nutrients react in the body. It has helped me better understand my needs and tailor a diet accordingly. I can get a little OCD at times, which can hinder my progress, but thoroughly enjoy learning more about the human side of nutrition!

My Goals:
Last year I lost about35 lbs and reached my goal weight. I gain some back over the winter so now I am just trying to get to a point of maintenance at my goal weight again.

Cardio, cardio, cardio! Training for a Marathon and P90X with my husband in the mornings!

Following the food pyramid and eating clean (at least 90% of the time). I like to watch my sodium and carbohydrate intake as I have some negative reactions to excessive amounts.

Personal Information:
I am in research and development and an animal nutritionist specializing in equine.

Married to the man of my dreams!

Looking forward to rockin' it on the houseboat this summer!

Hi there!

Just checking in to see how you're doing. How was your weekend? How's the eating going?

All is going well with me, and for the first time since the wedding, I actually feel like I have my mojo back. I'm exercising like a mad woman, and have cut out alcohol and sugar for at least a month. It feels good to be dedicated again. I needed the break, but it's time to get back to business! I've gotta get these 8 lbs. off ... I'm hoping they will be gone by July, but we shall see.

Anyway, just wanted to pop by and say hello!

Hey there! thanks for poppin by! I'm doin good! Finished my 12 week transformation last weekend and am takin the week off before I start Making the Cut tomorrow. Needed a week off but I'm not sure it was the best idea- I was just getting too burnt out!

Ha, yes i'd say the dog was a little upset with you! As is my puppy mad at me b/c I can't jog/run for 6 weeks. I barely have been taking her for walks b/c my back is so messed up. :( I let her run around the yard, but not the same as a jog to the park....

You doing P90 or P90X? I love the old school p90!
