You mentioned how your changed mindset was what was helpful in getting you to where you are. And I can see how that's possible. I'm slowly learning that changing my outlook is INSTRUMENTAL in seeing results, that taking each day as it comes is the only way we can accomplish anything, and to worry more about my health and to let the weight loss be a happy byproduct of those changes is most important.
I also wanted to tell you how encouraging it is to see your daily post about getting in your walks on my friends feed. It serves as a good reminder to me that daily exercise is key. It's a great motivator!
Anyway! Hope you have a great rest of your day! 79 days ago
Hi Asta! Thanks for the nice comment on my blog! I'm trying to post these to motivate myself in my journey so the nice well-wishes are very much appreciated. Hope you're doing well! 82 days ago
You mentioned footwear. I used to be a runner so I pick the best running shoes that are available because I need the support. However now that I am not running anymore I need a high quality pair of walking shoes. I have been using my running shoes to walk and that is a different type of support. I am going to a shoe store that specializes in getting individuals in the right pair of shoes. They carry orthopedic shoes and such but I don't think I need a pair of those yet.
I think what's going on with my feet in plantar fasciitis. I have had it before years ago and I think it's acting up again. I have been doing my stretches, using a rolling pin to massage the bottom of my feet. Once I get a walking shoe, I think I will be fine. I will look into the SAS shoe you mentioned.
Hope your day is going well.
Oh and yes I do count casual steps also. My 10,000 step count isn't totally exercise related. Although I do like to get at least 4 vigorous workouts in a week! Just something that I have always done and it's hard to unring that bell sometimes. I do find a balance though and I listen to my body and rest when it tells me to.
