My Goals:
My goals are to eat better and improve my fitness level. If my weight happens to go down while I do this, it will be a happy bonus.

I see my work toward this goal not only as something I can benefit from now, but also as a long-term investment in my future health.

My Program:
I am using the DASH eating plan (and loving it).

I walk at least 30 minutes daily, do strength training three times per week and take a yoga class once a week. I do yoga at home several times per week to stay stretched and calm.

My current goal is to continue trying to find new ways to bring vegetables and whole grains to my family's table.

Personal Information:
I have been married to my supportive husband for 23 years. We are blessed with a son and a daughter. In the past year our family has added a sweet greyhound named Salem to our household.

My family, friends and faith are the most important things in my life.

I work for a Catholic parish and serve as an assistant adviser to a Junior Girl Scout troop.

In my spare time I love to read, garden, walk and spend time enjoying nature.

Hi, I saw your comments about how much the DASH diet helped your blood pressure. I am trying to do the same thing, but having a hard time finding meal plans and such. I'm glad to hear it really worked for you. I hope I can have the same results, because my doctor recently put me on pills and I'd like to get off of them!

It takes TEAMWORK anywhere you go and I'm counting on you and the rest of the team to help out when you can.
