I am 68 and am retired. My "profession" was medical transcriptionist. I have so much I want to enjoy, plus spending a lot more time with my horse. I live with my husband of 44 years and 2 cats. I want my weight loss journey to be a real "life change" and not just a big "push" to lose weight. So, I am taking it very slow and steady. Motivation is my biggest downfall so I need to really work on that. I can see an improvement in my overall view of this journey since being on Spark.

My Program:
I have been walking for 30 min. or more at least 3 days a week for over a year. 2-3 days a week I work with my horse for a couple hours a day. I don't have enough energy to walk and work my horse on a single day.

I try to do some floor exercises as often as I can.

Hi Bonnie, I just found the Goodie you sent me for Thanksgiving. Of course Sparkpeople didn't notify me that you sent it.
Please accept my belated thank you for your thoughtfulness.

Take care,
Grace

Hi Bonnie, About the dry eye problem - I would go with the fish oil for a while. I'll bet that Restasis costs an arm and a leg. It's heavily advertised on the TV. So go with the cheapest treatment first. Then if it doesn't work, try the Restasis (or a generic.)
I have the glare when I drive at night but don't have cataracts,
YET. emoticon

Hi Bonnie, You're very welcome for the goodie. The Birthday Goodie is suppose to be from the whole team. As a team co-leader, I'm supposed to be able to send out Team Goodies. About a month ago, for some reason, Sparkpeople stopped allowing me to do that. So the only way I can send out a team goodie is through my own membership.
At any rate, if you're having the same weather that we're having, you should be able to have a great day so ENJOY!!

About your DH's shingles - In my last post I mentioned COLD packs, not a heating pad, as mentioned in your last post. I think heat just makes the pain and itching worse. Cold is more apt to "quiet" the nerves.
I hope he's feeling better soon.
