I joined SP in January of 2008 and had some success but then fell away and didn't returned to SP until January 25 of 2009 when I discovered I was 10 lbs. heavier then when I join in 2008. There's motivation for you..lol. Since I started using SP again I've been making steady progress toward my goal. Spark People works if you work it. I lost 40 pounds at one point, but due to family and health issues fell out of my routine and gained much of that back. However, having had success before, I know I can do it again, so I'm back and ready to reach my goals.

I'm 42 and I have been married for 21 years. We have two sons and I am also disabled so I don't work outside the home. I have cerebral palsy, fibromyalgia, bone to bone arthritis in one knee, an inherited lung disease and chronic insomnia...so my challenges are many, but I'm determine to take control of my quality of life from this day foreward.

I'm looking for support to get to a more healthy weight and lifestyle. I KNOW that SP can help me accomplish my goals and I'm worth all the effort that I will put into myself!

August 2011: Starting toward my goals once more. I'm determined not to let anything derail me this time around. I have decided to set my ticker to reflect small goals rather than the final goal so I reward myself along the way.

UPDATE: Noveber 20th, 2011: I have nearly reached my previous weight loss again! It feels great to see my consistent efforts working.

December 9th, 2011: Woo hoo! Reached my first goal of 40 lbs today!

My Goals:
Remember not to look at this as a weight loss goal but as a lifestyle change with the outcome being more health and vitality in my life.
To not let my challenges control the quality of my life. I am in control and only I can change it!

My Program:
Do at least 20 minutes of cardio every.
Drink No soda.
Track my meals.
Drink 8 glasses of water every day.
Write in my journal or blog each day.
Utilize SP to the fullest to help me stay on track and motivated.

Personal Information:
I pledge to look at this as a lifestyle change and part of my daily routine that is just as important as eating or breathing. Any weight loss is only a bonus to the most important benefit...my physical and emotional well being!

Other Information:
I love SP. It really works if you use it!

Hi Kandi, we are here in TC til the 14th then moving to Maryland for the next four-year Coasat Guard move. I'll be taking care of my mom back in Baltimore. I've been having fun watching the Blue Angels flying around! Take care! Have a fun 4th!
