You've got to get up every morning with determination if you're going to go to bed with satisfaction

During my life, my weight had always gone up and down drastically until about five years ago. For five years, I've weighed over 200 hundred pounds. I would get obsessed at times and get down close to the 200 mark...but never hit it or went lower. Stress, life changes, or just plain ol' depression would kick in and I would gain some weight back. I hit my highest weight of 250lbs After weighing myself a few weeks ago. So far I've been keeping below that number.

It's time!

It's time!

Time to make my dreams come true.

Time to start actually running for exercise, instead of running from fear in my mind. Let's do this! :)

Short term goals:

1. Lose 10lbs --50% complete 04/12/13
2. Drink min of 2 water bottles daily
3. Max of 2 coca colas a week

My Program:
Right now, I'm going to go by the belief that slow but steady wins the race. I've always been overeager and did too much or restricted too much which would lead to failure.

I'm making a small program that I'll put a new small goal on each new week.

It's the last day of July ...a good time to reflect upon your goals for August! Things to consider may be...

How many fitness minutes do you want to try to achieve?
How many pounds would you reasonably like to lose?
What new activities would you like to try?
What has been working for you that you would like to continue?
What hasn't been working and should be changed?

Not everyone likes to set goals, but it is a valuable tool to use on this journey. Goals help to provide focus and a vision for what we want to accomplish. Even if we fail to meet our goals, the experience provides valuable feedback --- What went wrong? What behavior do we need to change to attain what we set out to do?

Take a few minutes ... challenge yourself with some goals for August!

... Looking forward to success in August! Keep on keepin' on!!

Happy Monday!! Another month is drawing to a close... I hope you are seeing progress on your journey...

Don't forget that the scale doesn't always tell the whole story. Have you measured yourself lately???

You may just be amazed at what you discover!
