Being back at Sparkpeople adds a wonderful balance to my day. Holding myself accountable and keeping in touch with friends here certainly keeps me motivated.

I have always been involved in trying to keep myself and my family fit but didn't always have the time. Since joining spark my nutrition has improved and so has my daily workout consistency.

So I commit to try to be better about reading and posting in teams and also reading blog post so to be the best spark ...

I was a sparker in 2007/8 but life was so overwhelming that I had to do a bit of reorganizatio in an effort to keep things in check. I should have remained here but felt I just couldn't. I hope I am right in coming back.

My Goals:
My goal is simple, to remain healthy and fit into my fifties.

My Program:
WORKOUT:
I have been a long term weight lifter but would lose motivation often. Right now I have been doing Turbo Fire and P90X Hybrid and love it for the variety and fun workouts.
NUTRITION:
I am a clean eater and have been since before it was called clean eating. Most foods are sliced, chopped and cooked by hand following both old family recipes and a few news ones from Tosca Reno's cookbooks. I am also an organic gardener so our household gets plenty of fresh veggies during the growing season. I stopped taking vitamins recently and switched to a nutrient packed meal replacement drink and have had wonderful luck with it.

Personal Information:
I am a Vermont girl who grew up on a small farm. Now we are urbanites but I still maintain an organic garden.

I love helping people with their fitness and health and have been a BB coach. BB coaching has bumped up my motivation because I am no longer staying fit just for me but to help and motivate others

Other Information:
Starting my journey to becoming a Certified Personal Trainer and working towards my Fitness Nutrition certification and a sports nutrition certification. One thing at a time however but plan to work in that direction with my future.

Our household includes my DH, brittany spaniel and cockatiel..

Morning! I missed my workout in WOWY this morning, but am going to get it in this afternoon here at the office. We have a workout room available and they have an awesome treadmill, so I will watch E! and read my Oxygen magazine while burning off some calories at lunch.

I am SO going to do at least three 5Ks in 2011 and hopefully a half marathon, too. I know I can do the 5Ks, so a half will be a challenge. I can do it! I know I can!!! YOU CAN TOO!!!!

I love the Turbo Fire HIIT workouts. Short and sweet! Tony's plyometrics are my fav. So much to do and so little time. Wish I could stay home and workout forever, but that's not going to happen! Ha!
