My Goals:
To make 2009 a lot better than 2008. 2008 was a very bad year. In 2008 someone close to me had a tragic accident...the resulting stress and heartbreak caused a relapse in my chronic fatigue syndrome that didn't respond to a previously successful treatment. Thankfully, I discovered another treatment that did work, and I'm feeling better now. (My friend survived the accident, but is permanently disabled and still recovering. Long term prognosis is unknown. Prayers are appreciated.)

I am hopeful for a healthier, happier year in 2009. Before I can get physically healthy I need to get emotionally strong again...so 2009 is going to be my "be good to Bobbi" year.

My Program:
"Eating like a french woman". The book "French Women Don't get Fat" is my guide, along with the "You on a Diet" book. The "French Women Don't Get Fat" mantra is to never eat without savoring your food, so it eliminates mindless eating, and makes eating a "sacred"' experience, instead of one of deprivation. And the "You on a Diet" book has healthy food, supplement and recipe suggestions.

Personal Information:
I live in wild, wonderful West Virginia and love the beautiful scenery and nature here! I work part time as an instructional designer for a college, designing online classes and helping the faculty learn how to utilize technology in their online courses. In my past "careers" I have been a computer systems analyst, a computer programmer, an entrepreneur, a manager at a federal contractor, a college instructor (computer), among other things. :-) It seems like I am always trying something new.

Other Information:
I am an avid artist, painting and also teaching watercolor classes in the local college adult education program. You can see my art at http://www.dubins.com.

Hi and welcome to the "I Hate Exercise" team! You'll love the team, I promise! We are extremely laid back but at the same time you will find tons of support, motivation, encouragement and even humor within our team. I'm so glad that you chose our team as one to join.

Over at our team you will find several threads. Including a check in thread that's started daily. It's not a requirement to check in daily, but I highly recommend posting there whenever you get the chance. It's where you'll really get to know some of the others and it's also a great place to get that extra support, hugs and warm fuzzys whenever you might need them. Don't even hesitate to let us know if you need it. The people on this team are extremely caring and concerned. They will have you feeling like you've known them for years after only a few days.

We also have some ongoing game threads and some goals and challenges set up too. If you wear a pedometer, then we would love for you to join us for our goal of walking a combined 25 million steps in 2009. We even have a venting thread for those days you want to pull your hair out, or someone elses for that matter!

Please let us know if you need anything or if you have any questions or suggestions for the team.

See you on the boards!

Debbie
