Today I am tweaking my goals. I am tired of being disappointed in myself. I just turned 49 and the big five-oh is looming. I am not anywhere near where I want to be. I have a lot of healthy habits but haven't been even 80% consistent. I have increased my activity so my body is feeling pretty good, no back pain currently. I can recognize binge behavior before I jump off the deep end and can talk myself out of it most of the time. I want to be at my goal weight by my 50th birthday so it is time to buckle down and do what needs to be done. I need to be much more mindful of what goes into my body, exercising is not enough when you eat like a garbage can three days out of the week! I also plan to develop a plan to avoid refined sugar. It is a huge trigger for me, I can't just have one cookie or one bowl of ice cream. Over and over again I undo all my good efforts by travelling down the sugar highway. This is one thing that I will have to be pretty strict about. Otherwise I plan to be flexible and adaptable regarding diet and exercise. I know that life is crazy and sometimes your plans don't work out. I refuse to feel guilty when that happens as long as I still make healthy choices. So starting today I will put myself first and get things done! I've always avoided making goals with rewards but now I have a few things in mind:

==I want to buy new clothes that I love and throw out my 'fat clothes' that I hate!
==I want to like looking at myself in the mirror
==I want to have a family portrait done
==I want to go on a trip where a bathing suit is my main attire!

So I plan to make a list of concrete goals with rewards. I'm going to post it on my closet door where I will see it everyday.
