Getting Back to Basics
I started SparkPeople in January of 2008 and lost 40 lbs in six months. I really felt strong and confident, but somewhere after I reached my first goal I started slipping backwards. I just returned from a family vacation and I am creeping up to the original weight that brought me to Spark People in the first place. I can't believe I let myself get here again! I know what I need to do and SP will be a HUGE part of my recovery process. I originally started this journey as a gift to myself ...
I started SparkPeople in January of 2008 and lost 40 lbs in six months. I really felt strong and confident, but somewhere after I reached my first goal I started slipping backwards. I just returned from a family vacation and I am creeping up to the original weight that brought me to Spark People in the first place. I can't believe I let myself get here again! I know what I need to do and SP will be a HUGE part of my recovery process. I originally started this journey as a gift to myself for turning 40. I'm 42 now and I want to feel healthy, strong and confident again. I want to stop putting off buying new clothes because I want to wait until I'm my goal size! I want to feel comfortable having my picture taken or looking in the mirror. I know I hold the key to all of these things and more. I'm back on track for now and looking forward to this journey and all the things I want to accomplish! January 2011: Ready for a fresh new year. I have been pretty consistant in December with exercising, nutrition and tracking. The holidays are always hard but overall I made good choices. I am excited to start over and see results! Looking forward to participating in the BLC15. Go Forest Green Pixies!

My Goals:
Feel comfortable in my own skin. Visit SparkPeople.com at LEAST once per day. Log all food and exercise. Add more exercise into my daily routines. Learn to feel good when someone compliments me. Be consistent! Take care of myself first.
My Program:
Water, water, water Smaller portions, no more clean plate club No more late night snacking/binging Limit alcoholic beverages, especially high calorie microbrews! Try harder! Don't do the bare minimum.
Personal Information:
Born and raised in Seattle, WA Married for 11 years and Mom of an 8yr old daughter and 6yr old son. I work part-time for an eye doctor. I love to read, cook, garden, camp and hike.
Other Information:
2012 is going to be my best year ever. I am planning on making some big changes that will last for the rest of my life.
