updated 6/14/10

I've been on this journey since 1/1/2008. I had a set back in the spring of 2008 and I gained 5 pounds. I got serious again in September 2008. In the fall of 2009 I had another setback while my son was in the hospital and gained 15 pounds. On 1/1/2010 I made a commitment to complete this journey. I turn 40 in December and I want to be fit and fabulous when I get there.

In 2000 I had finally gotten most of my pregnancy weight off, but then I realized I was turning 30 and I panicked and wallowed in food and self pity about turning 30. Looking back I laugh, but for some reason it was terrifying.

I now feel like I am on the final leg of this journey. I don't know what I want my final weight to be, but I do know that I want to be 140 lbs on my 40th brithday. I realize it is an ambitious goal but with hard work and determination I know I can do it.

My Goals:
3 mini goals:

1) Lose 85lbs (165.7) - goal date 6/22/10

2) Lose 35% of original body weight (162.9) - goal date 7/6/10
3) Lose 90lbs (160.7)-goal date 7/20/10

I realize life isn't perfect and while I will do everything I can to meet these goals my life will not end if I have to adjust the dates. An all or nothing attitude is what got me in this mess, it certainly won't get me out of it.

My Program:
drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
stay in calorie range but vary it daily.
cardio 5 days per week
strength training 5 days per week.
Get in 8 servings of fruits and veggies every day.

I wear a body bugg and my goal is to create a 900 calorie deficit a day so I can lose 1.75lbs per week.

Personal Information:
I live in North Texas with my family. I love the Lord with all my heart, soul and mind.

Other Information:
I have been married to my husband and best friend for 15 years. I am a homeschooling mom of four children ages 14-6.

Thanks for being there for me yesterday on my blog. I am thankful that we have such a great gym to workout at with so many options. I think I'm going to try going to the track at the school some, too. We need to get together soon. Besides other things, I'd love to chat with you about the clean eating. I have quit eating processed foods for several months now. I need to know if there's a good book or something that could teach me more about what is considered "clean". I do still have a minimal amount of raw sugar, I'm just not ready to give up my morning latte yet.
Congrats on how good this way of eating is making you feel!!

Thanks for the goodie! That made my day. Lost a good friend yesterday and this morning my work mom resigned. Sigh. I feel blessed to be lifted up by the wonderful people around me, though. God is always good!
