Training for Life

I've struggled with my weight as long as I can remember. In high school and the first half of college, I was overweight/borderline obese. Since then, I've managed to gain a little bit of control, but I doubt this is every something that will come easily to me.

I became a mom in February! I also gained 50 lbs in the nine months leading up to that. I'm now at/below my pre-pregnancy weight, and trying to drop a few more before I go into maintenance mode. I think I'll likely have to ...

I became a mom in February! I also gained 50 lbs in the nine months leading up to that. I'm now at/below my pre-pregnancy weight, and trying to drop a few more before I go into maintenance mode. I think I'll likely have to track my calories for years before I get the hang of all of this. It's totally worth it though, especially if I can be a good role model for my daughter. I'm hoping that all this comes a little more naturally to her, though, and that she never has to struggle with her weight and body image the way I have.

Update: I'm about 10 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight, and trying to transition into maintenance. I still don't really know where a happy weight for me is, so even though I though I'd maintain at 145, my body seems to want to keep dropping the weight. That's cool. I'm going to keep tracking my food and just roll with it :)

I'm a mom x 2! My son was born in June 2014, and though I gained another 55+lbs while I was pregnant with him, I've lost it all again. Now trying to decide where to stop the weight loss and start maintenance, and trying to sneak in as much running as a working mom of two can!

I'm a working mom with a stay-at-home husband. I run before work so if I look tired, I AM! It's all worth it, though. There's nothing quite like the feeling of knowing your body can run for 2+hours straight.

Other Information:
Some people are natural runners. Other people just run.

Oh man!! LOL I know how that is .. My First Trimester was all day "Morning Sickness" and all I could keep down were sweets or atleast if I could keep them down they werent as bad come back up lol I am no longer Vegan, and while I use to be 80% Superhero I am now 80% Vegetarian emoticon I am 4 months right now, I am just starting to get use to being pregnant and so am making healthier food choices and am exercising almost daily. I was so excited to see you were expecting and just thought it was so funny we both were! You are alot further though lol So are you having a boy or girl?

hi! long time no talk. I just saw in the July hopefuls thread that you are pregnant! congrats! when are you due? I just found out this month that I'm 7 weeks! came as a bit of a surprise, but hey. hope you are feeling well and staying on track!
