My Journey

I am a home school mother of three with a wonderful husband. I love being with my family and caring for my children. I have struggled with my weight since I was a teenager, but since getting married and having children my weight has sort of ballooned out of control. Before I had children I still could ride bikes, skate and play ball,. Now I can't do any of those things. Today I start a new journey in my life, a journey to a healthier, happier me.

Thanks for viewing my blog! My hubby and I are trying to add more beans and veg to our meals. So each week I cook up a vat of beans and start cooking! I always have a menu plan or I'm lost:-) my hubby's aunt put rice in her omelettes so It gave me the idea to use up left overs from taco night. We had over four meatless meals last week. The things that have motivated us to improve our eating habits are documentaries, Fat sick and nearly dead-got us into to juicing fruits and veg for our breakfast. We each lost over 30 lbs and have kept it off by continuing to juice. The other thing we watched was Forks over Knives and Forks over knives, the extended interviews. I highly recommend watching these, lots of info you may never have heard before. I know I hadn't! Know if I could get back to exercising, I always think I'm going to then I don't and the day is gone. After Thanksgiving I got so busy, I was too worn out to exercise, now I don't have the desire! I need a motivation!!
