Getting off the sidelines and back into Life.

I started my journey on here just over a year ago. I was wanting to get in shape for my wedding. Life and such threw me curves and I didn't reach all my goals but I reached a whole lot.
Sure it would be great to wear a awesome swim suit this year during the summer, but my real goal is to get healthy and be happy with me.
I've made so many changes since joining. I work out more, I make better food choices, I drink water all the time. I find I don't have time to sit around and ...

I've made so many changes since joining. I work out more, I make better food choices, I drink water all the time. I find I don't have time to sit around and watch t.v. while stuffing my face with junk. The best part is, I'm a RUNNER now. That's right, you might not think that I would be but I am.
Every day is a choice, I can make great healthy ones or I can go the other way. It's my choice no one else's. That being said if I decide to splurge good for me. Food is no longer in control of me and my life.

Yes, seeing the characteristics of a difficult person and realizing we may have some of that too . . . now that's eye opening!

HUGS and let us pause to remember al those lost in 9-11, al the first responders and all of us in this great country!

"It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself.
It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable.
It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things."

"My invitation to you is to begin living every moment as though you are miraculous and deserve to live an extraordinary life.
Fake it if you must and keep faking it until it’s real to you. The gift you will be giving yourself is a lifelong journey of discovery, one that is infinite and infinitely rewarding. Begin the journey. Today. This moment. Now."

Thanks for reading my blog "Salad in a Jar"! Yes!! They really do stay nice and fresh! The first time I made 5, and this time I've made 6. I wouldn't make more than that unless there's 2 of you in your household eating salads. I generally go out at least once a week for dinner, so 6 is a good number for me. The jars are re-useable, and you only do the prep once. I love it!!

Thanks for reading my blog and your kind comments. Yes, it is difficult sometimes to juggle everything that needs doing in a day, but taking it day-by-day makes it less overwhelming.

HUGS and hope you're having a good Monday.

"One of the most difficult parts of changing how you live and how you eat is believing that change is possible.
We all say we believe that, but many of us, deep down in our hearts believe that it's possible for other people, but not for us.
That other people can do it, that the glowy warm life we imagine is for other people, not for us.
We have an unconscious belief that we can't do it, it's hopeless, and so, on some level, we stop making an effort.
We lapse into the way it always was or is. But change really is possible.
And it really does take a fierce kind of longing, and a fierce kind of love for yourself.
For the life you know is possible. Ask yourself what you love most of all.
Do you love your life? And are you willing to take action on your own behalf?"

TGIF, Sparkfriend! I hope your week was a good one and that you're ready for a fit, fun and fantastically healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind and keep taking steps towards them. Remind yourself that you are capable...and love yourself enough to know that you are worth the effort!
Hugs,
Pixie
