Enjoy the Ride

Hi, my name is Bonnie. This is my third time to join Spark People but I hadn't been on in a few years before joining this time. A little about me: I am 26 years old and just finished my last semester of online classes for the foreseeable future but will be looking into continuing my education later on so I can get a degree/certificate. I babysit my nephews, who just turned 3 and 2 years old this summer, for 4 days a week for a total of 45 hours while my brother works.

A little about me: I am 26 years old and just finished my last semester of online classes for the foreseeable future but will be looking into continuing my education later on so I can get a degree/certificate. I babysit my nephews, who just turned 3 and 2 years old this summer, for 4 days a week for a total of 45 hours while my brother works.

My exercise plan now that it's really cold and snowy is mainly indoor exercise. I do Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds DVDs, walking videos from on demand, and kickboxing HIIT workouts right now but want to expand my exercise choices soon. I also walk outside when I feel like braving the cold which has mostly been an average of three times a week where I walk anywhere from 1-3 miles. Winter worries me a bit when it comes to exercising but I know I can do it if I stay focused and learn coping mechanisms.

My brother, nephews, and I live with my mom and stepdad in a small two bedroom house and it is very cramped. It can also be very stressful a lot of the time as I sleep in the living room. My sleep is interrupted pretty often and there is no such thing as privacy, but I try to keep my head up as much as I can.

Some of my 2014 achievements:

808 miles walked, indoors and outdoors
over 16,000 fitness minutes (in seven months)
60 pounds lost!
10 BMI points dropped

Some of my goals:


WEIGHT:
Starting: 309.4

1st goal- 10.4 pounds, 299 by July 2, 2014 (reached June 25)

2nd goal- 30 pounds: 10% of remaining weight, 269 by October 15, 2014 (reached September 24)

3rd goal- 27 pounds: 10% of remaining weight, 242 by January 7, 2015 (reached January 28)

4th goal- 24 pounds: 10% of remaining weight, 218 by April 29, 2015

5th goal- 22 pounds: 10% of remaining weight, 196 by July 1, 2015
WILL BE UNDER 200 for the first time in at least 10 years!

My 2015 Fitness Goals:

*1200 miles walked/ran
*Get into running for real
*Try two other new exercises, examples like zumba/other dancing & bike riding
*Maybe work up to a 10K or 10 mile walking distance at one time for working towards walking a half marathon in 2016

*1750-2100 calories a day
*at least 45-60 minutes exercise each day, 5-6 days per week
*at least 6 cups of water a day
*eat at least 3 fruits and vegetables a day
*try to make smart choices for each meal, smaller portions as well as healthier foods.

hey girl congrats on reaching your third fitness goal! I just wanted to ask you how you felt those "walk away the pounds" type of videos were working for you? I was thinking about giving them a try as apposed to some Jillian Michael's vids. Thanks!
