Hi, my name is Bonnie. This is my third time to join Spark People and I have been on here this time since May of 2014. This is definitely a lifestyle change, I truly can't even imagine going back to the way it was for me before.

A little about me: I am 27 years old and I babysit my nephews, who will be turning 5 & 4 years old this summer, for 5 days a week and a total of 50+ hours while my brother works.
My exercise plan: I do Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds DVDs, walking videos from on demand, and either Biggest Loser Cardio Max DVD or kickboxing workouts. Lately I've been having foot issues so have cut back a lot on walking related workouts. I also joined my local gym and am LOVING using the elliptical again as well as the upright stationary bike, and am learning more about strength training using the machines there. Now that it's summer, I have found I can be active outdoors longer and do more than I did even last fall. I have more energy and endurance/stamina than I did then and it is so refreshing! I love having a higher quality of life in day-to-day living.
My brother, nephews, and I live with my mom and stepdad in a small two bedroom house and it is very cramped. It can also be very stressful a lot of the time as I sleep in the living room. My sleep is interrupted pretty often and there is no such thing as privacy, but I try to keep my head up as much as I can.

Tinker Bell Half Marathon on May 8, 2016! DONE! Finishing time: 3:43:20.
Two Cities Marathon in November 2016, I hope!
Starting on 5/28/14: 309.4
1st goal- 10.4 pounds, 299 by 7/2/14 (reached June 25)
2nd goal- 30 pounds: 10% of remaining weight, 269 by 10/15/14 (reached September 24)
3rd goal- 27 pounds: 10% of remaining weight, 242 by 1/7/15 (reached January 28)
4th goal- 24 pounds: 10% of remaining weight, 218 by 4/29/15 (reached May 6)
5th goal- 22 pounds: 10% of remaining weight, 196 by 8/19/15
UNDER 200 for the first time as an adult! (reached September 9)
***HIATUS, goals going forward severely adjusted but optimistically so!
Adjusting my next goals even more so, due to gaining some weight back:
SW: 209.2 (7/18/16), GW: 199... no time goal on this one due to a lot of upcoming events.
*Stay in my calorie range a bare minimum of 5 days a week, but as often as possible.
*at least 45-60 minutes exercise each day, 5/6 days per week
*at least 12-14 cups of water a day
*eat at least 3 fruits and vegetables a day
*try to make smart choices for each meal, smaller portions as well as healthier foods.
Currently living in Northwest Indiana, but originally from California (my home state)... planning the move back "HOME" at the end of August 2016 and I can't wait!!!
