Never Again!!!

I have hit 200 pounds 3 different times in my adult life. For some reason that is the number that scares me enough to make changes. This time when I hit 200 pounds, I tried several things, but nothing worked to get me off that mark. Until HCG. I've completed one round and have moved on to maintenance until August 2010 when I started round 2. Round 1 took off 28 pounds and round 2 took off 24 pounds for a total of 52 in 2 rounds. During my Phase 3 and phase 4 I did great . . . except for a week of wild eating abandon while on a cruise which left me 10 pounds over my Round 2 LIW range of 148.8. So that's where I started Round 3. I was 160, and loaded up to 164. Round 3 went great and I got down to 136.7 in February 2011. I maintained there for quite a while, but got derailed in April with emotional eating. So by June I found myself once again at 148 pounds. I started Round 4 on June 25th, 2011 and was able to get to my new LIW of 131.6 by July 28th. I've been holding there ever since. I'll not say I've conquered my emotional eating demons, but I have acquired the ability to question my choices before making them rather than after. As in "Why would I choose to eat this particular food?" Then I make a decision and usually choose not to partake. This is probably the most important key for me in lifetime maintenance. When offered a free chocolate chip cookie recently I declined and the person I was with nudged me with "C'mon admit it you really do want one, don't you?" I thought for a moment and said "No, I really don't want one. Sure the cookie would taste good, but I know what eating stuff like that does to me and I choose something better for myself." It was a pivotal moment to me.

I want to get back on the losing path. At 5'5" I don't see any reason I shouldn't be able to get down to 140.

I married a childhood friend, he is a wonderful husband and father. I am a stay-at home Mom and we have 4 children. Oh yeah, did I mention that I homeschool??

Thanks for the congrats on my blog. It is really nice to have such a great bunch of cheerleaders out here. I'm not sure I would get through most days without everyone.

Congrats to you too on not eating that cake.

Way to go girl!
