Determined to Succeed!

For years I resisted diets or plans to lose because I didn't want society to dictate who I am. After my last birthday, though, I started thinking about health and wanted to make some life changes. My Goals:
I initially just wanted to be healthier and thinner. I have added a few goals, though. I want to be able to shop wherever I want to. AND, when we go to Great America, I want to be afraid because the rides are scary, not because I am afraid that I am so fat that the restarints won't hold!

My Program:
Right now, I am trying to exercise for a minimum of 30-45 minutes every morning. I ride my bike to work some days, too. I am aiming for between 1400-1800 calories a day, depending on how much exercise I get. I am also shooting for 1.5 gallons of water minimum each day. I also belong to an (other) on-line support forum and am exploring SparkPeople. Trying to be patient with myself.
