I've been overweight, or at least aware of it, since I was 10 years old. That's well over half my life now. That sucks. I want to fix it.
- 2009 Final Tally - 6 lbs, from 232 to 226

~Personal Weight Loss Challenge: 230 by my birthday
~Low Carbin' it
~Personal Strength Training Mission! Build up to 50 crunches, lunges, and pushups, 3 days/wk
~C25K: restart after a month of consistent walking, 30 minutes/day, most days
~BLC11 -Saucy Sapphires and the 12 Week Streak! At least 20 minutes of exercise, at least 6 days a week - held the streak, but hermitted myself the last couple weeks of the challenge
~Spark Georgia: The G-E-O-R-G-I-A Challenge, May 11-24 - finished with 365 of 490 possible points
~The Sweatsuit to Swimsuit Bootcamp! A Spark video, 30 minutes of cardio, and a bonus challenge every day for the month of May! - Flawless performance! I didn't miss a day. =)
~10 Day Challenges: 29 May to 7 June - Only missed one day! =)
~W.O.A.M. 90 Days Before Summer Challenge - didn't finish strong because I suck at setting my own challenges, but still, I just missed the first and last two weeks.
Overall, I want to be healthy and fit enough to be an active person again, and to feel good about myself. I don't mind admitting that I really don't feel good about myself, and especially about my health, right now.
Long term, I'm shooting for 145 lbs and a 10K.
Short term, I'm focusing on 10 lb increments, every 2 months if I can manage it., and 30 minutes of walking a day. 220, here I come!
Food: I feel better when I'm eating real food, staying away from added sugar and refined starches. So basically, low carb. Trying to stick with that.
Exercise: walking or kinect for 30 minutes, most days, and building a strength training habit.
